We are looking for an experienced and visionary Principal Analyst (Researcher) to join our Pricing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing the research and development of dynamic pricing models and algorithms that optimize marketplace performance. Your work will directly impact how we balance supply and demand, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business outcomes.You will collaborate with a team of talented researchers and engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions, ensuring the seamless integration of data-driven insights and scalable algorithms into our platform. Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research to design and improve pricing algorithms that optimize marketplace efficiency;
- Develop and refine economic models, including elasticity analysis and auction mechanics, to drive dynamic pricing strategies;
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in pricing systems, presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders;
- Design and analyze experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to validate pricing algorithm improvements and inform future strategies;
- Lead the development and productionization of scalable analytical models, ensuring alignment with engineering and business requirements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business, to integrate pricing solutions into the platform;
- Communicate insights and results to stakeholders, providing clarity on their implications for the marketplace.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with a focus on pricing systems or marketplace optimization;
- Proven track record of conducting algorithmic research and delivering data-driven solutions;
- Strong expertise in mathematical modeling, statistical methods, and economic elasticity models;
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing tools, with experience working in high-load service environments;
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in dynamic pricing systems;
- Ability to structure complex problems, think critically, and balance analytical depth with practical impact;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
