We are looking for a Head of Product for the Geo cluster at inDrive, an international technological platform for transportation services. We rank among the top 2 mobile ride-hailing services globally, with over 200 million installations, more than 4 billion rides, and presence in 700+ cities across 45+ countries.
The teams of GEO collaborate on various aspects, including optimizing routes and tracing trips, developing features for locating drivers and passengers and managing the addition of new geo providers.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for geo and mapping products that aligns with the company's overall vision and business objectives.
- User Experience Optimization: Ensure that geo and mapping products deliver a seamless and intuitive experience for riders and drivers, including accurate navigation, real-time traffic updates, and optimized routing.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze user behavior, performance metrics, and market trends to gain insights into user needs and preferences, and use this information to inform product decisions and optimizations.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the geospatial and mapping space, and use this knowledge to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that geo and mapping products comply with relevant regulations and legal requirements related to mapping data, privacy, and location-based services.
Qualifications
- Geospatial Expertise: In-depth knowledge of geospatial technologies, including GIS (Geographic Information Systems), mapping algorithms, geocoding, routing, and location-based services.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mapping APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), such as Google Maps API, Mapbox, or OSM technologies, and experience with data visualization tools and geospatial databases.
- Data-driven Decision Making: Experience leveraging data analytics and user insights to inform product decisions, optimize performance, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments in the geospatial and mapping space to identify market opportunities and potential threats.
- User Experience Focus: Ensure that geo and mapping products are intuitive, accurate, and reliable, with a focus on delivering a seamless and efficient experience for riders and drivers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant regulations and legal considerations related to mapping data, privacy, and location-based services, and the ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
- Leadership and Team Management: Experience leading and mentoring a team of product managers, engineers, and data specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify complex technical challenges related to geo and mapping products and develop creative solutions to address them effectively.
- Adaptability and Resilience: The ride-hailing industry is dynamic and rapidly evolving, so the ability to adapt to change, learn quickly, and navigate ambiguity is crucial for success in this role.
